Rimmel Wonder'Full Mascara Review

A quick review on the brand spanking new mascara from Rimmel! The Wonder'Full mascara with argan oil.

One word... LOVE!

P.S Did they know I am like a moth to flame with anything resembling copper coloring...
I really like the packaging. Quite different from anything else in the Rimmel ranges.

Now, I've never been a fan of mascara wands with the plastic bristles. I have never had much luck with them. I found they always used to leave too much product behind on my lashes and made them clump up. Until now!

This mascara is SO nice! Doesn't clump. Separates the lashes. Adds volume, curls AND defines!
Everything you could ask for in a mascara.
The wand is quite flexible which helps getting right into the base of the lashes. I found they didn't feel as "crunchy" as other mascaras make your lashes feel after they dry. I'm hoping with regular use the Argan oil will keep my lashes lovely and conditioned.

Lol at my lazy eye!

Right hand side of the pic is one coat of the mascara. I think its just gorgeous! It really does lift, separate, curl and define.

Now my natural lashes have been tinted and a curling treatment applied, but you can still see how much it has curled and lifted them again.

I am really impressed.

It also comes off easily when you want to remove it. I didn't find it transferred a lot (no more than any other mascara that isn't waterproof) I did get a bit of smudge after a workout but that's expected when you're sweating profusely.

Overall I would definitely recommend giving this one a try if you're in the market for a new mascara.
Priceline is currently selling it for the introductory price of $13.95. Full price is $17.95
Also at the moment, they have a promo going. If you spend over $20 you get a free gift.
Easy done to grab a sneaky nail polish to go along with your brand new mascara to get free things! Maybe one of the new colors from the Rita Ora range!
(I may or may not have purchased some "necessary" bits to receive said free gift)
Pretty happy all round!

Has anyone else got their hands on this mascara yet? or shopped the new Rita Ora range?
Leave me some suggestions. I'm yet to try any of them out.

Top 5 Drugstore Foundations

As the name suggests I have for you today my top 5 drugstore foundations.

Now this is a little bit of a top 4 plus maybe number 6 on my list.

I'm missing the Revlon Colorstay foundation for oily/combination skin. A definite top 5 contender but I am all out at the moment and as you can see, have a few others to use up before I re-purchase.

So my number 1 fave at the moment would definitely be the Maybelline SuperStay 24HR Foundation.
My shade is Classic Ivory.
I would say a medium coverage but buildable to a full. Really creamy, easy to blend. Covers 90% of blemishes and pigmentation on my skin. I still need concealer and powder to cover the dark circles under my eyes, but I am yet to find anything that is a full blown miracle worker on those.

P.S! This foundation is currently 1/2 price at PRICELINE Right NOWS!! Normally $21.95AUD you can pick it up for $10.97AUD! Hurry though, sale ends Monday August 25th.

Second would be the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation in the shade 100 Ivory. I love this one for the day time. It has teensy tiny little shimmery bits in it, which, when you look in the bottle you think. "Oh man, I'm going to look like I've had a fight with the illuminator" But really, they are hardly visible... Trust me, you will not look like Edward Cullen when your skin hits the sunlight...

It gives fairly decent coverage, but not too heavy. Smells pleasant enough. Contains SPF 15. Bonus! Just remember if you're going out for a night on the town, it may be wise to choose another foundation if you don't want to look like Casper the ghost in your flash photography.

Oh, also! Priceline has 25% off ALL Rimmel at the mo', so grab this baby for $14.96AUD instead of the regular $19.95AUD.

NEXT!

3rd place goes to the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. Shade No53 Light Beige. I would call this a "Your Skin But Better" foundation. Smells really lovely (clearly bad at describing scents) but lovely is as good as you're going to get from me.
Again, a light to medium coverage, but definitely buildable. It claims to "leave you looking flawless for 16 hours". Not going to lie, not sure if I've ever had makeup on for that long before. No SPF in this one so a sunscreen underneath is a must. (unless you're a night owl)

Number 4 is another Maybelline must have, the Fit Me Shine-Free Foundation Stick. I have the shade 220.
I really enjoy this foundation, the fact i can just smear it over my face and blend in with my fingers or my Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki.
Feels quite oily when you first put it on but when you blend it out it dries to a powder/matt finish.

The one thing I love about the Maybelline Fit Me range is that once you find out what number you are closest to, you then just have to find the matching numbers in the concealer and powder and you have the perfect set! This also comes in a liquid foundation, but I'm yet to try.

Again, pick it up half price at Priceline until Monday peeps!

Which leaves me at the lucky last...  The Max Factor Pan Stik.
This baby is the super heavy duty bad boy you need for MAXIMUM coverage. I'm talking, goodbye freckles, goodbye redness. It really does cover a lot!

Being for normal/dry skin, I find this needs a powder to set my T-zone. Max factor do say it will leave you with a dewy finish but because I am a bit of an oily girl, I always go for a matt finish. Definitely needs a good buffing into the skin so you don't end up looking like you've got a face mask on but if you're looking for a really good cover up, this is a gem! Also smells like baby powder! Lovely!

Well, I hope you have found this a little bit useful and have maybe found another foundation you like the look of trying out.

Be sure to let me know if you have tried any of the above and also drop me a line and let me know of any others you think I should know about!

The Leibster Award...

Well! I have been nominated not once, but twice for a Leibster award... A big thankyou to Sofia from MAKEUPOWER and Kim from A LITTLE BEAUTY POST.

Now I'm not too sure about how these work, but the two different nominations came with two different sets of rules. Hmm... So I'm being a rebel and changing the amount of people to nominate from 11 to 5 because I don't want it to be so "chain mailey"

The Rules:

1.  Link back to the person that nominated you.
2.  Answer all of the questions you are given.
3.  Choose 5 bloggers with less than 200 followers to nominate.
4.  Pick 11 questions for them to answer and let them know.

The Questions from Sofia:

1.  What is your favourite bath or shower gel fragrance?
* I really don't have a favourite. As soon as I finish one shower gel I go out and buy one I haven't used before.

2.  Tea or coffee?
* Definitely tea.

3.  Last film I seen at the cinema?
* 22 Jump Street (Hilarious!)

4.  What type of blog post do you enjoy reading the most?

* The red lip.

6.  What do you love about yourself?
* I like my eyes, my personal style and my tattoos.

7.  Fave TV show at the mo'?

* I just look up to people who are selfless and that go out of their way to help others. No one person in particular.

2.  What's one thing you can't live without?
* Water... (Obvious!) Also my hair straightener! haha

3.  Would you rather wake up with perfect hair every morning or perfect makeup?
* Perfect makeup, because it's easy to throw your hair into a top knot and still look good.

4.  If you could travel anywhere in the world, where and why?
* I would travel to Europe because it is one place I would really love to visit and discover.

5.   What is your favourite newly discovered company?
* beautybay.com

6.  What is the best moment you've had since blogging?
* Just the fact that I have found something I love to do. This is definitely not a chore!

7.  Fave beauty product and why?
* In general it would be mascara because I think it makes the most dramatic difference to the face. Product wise it is the Maybelline The Colossal Volum' Express Mascara.

8.  What is your favourite blog you've wrote yourself...??

9.  Who is your fave blogger/YouTuber?
* Essie Button!

10.  High end brands or drugstore?
* I'm going to have to say drugstore because I think it makes it all that much cooler when you find something amazing at a great price.

Addicted to ASOS!! My Wish List...

I've been scouring ASOS a lot lately since I downloaded their app for my iPhone. For some reason I find it a lot less daunting and easier to navigate than the website.

ASOS has such a diverse range of clothing, accessories, shoes, bags and also beauty products.

They also cater to everybody. The ASOS Curve range is for the "curvier" women with sizes ranging from 18 to 28.
ASOS Petite is designed to fit women 5'3 and under. There is a maternity range and my personal favourite ASOS Tall! Designed for lofty women 5'9 and over. *cough, me*

Being a touch over 6 feet tall I find it so hard to find jeans that are long enough for me but also big enough. Dresses are also a bit of a struggle. Yes, some are meant to be short but they really should cover your whole bottom! HA!
Jumper sleeves can also cause me some grief, stick my arms out straight ahead and my jumper turns into a 3/4 length top. As well as being for the tall ladies they also go up to a size 18 so ASOS really covers the lot!

I had collected quite a number of things into my "saved items" bag, so I thought I would share them with you and maybe you'll find yourself something to pick up.
1.  Cath Kidston - Kensington Rose Blue iPhone 5 Case. $23.72AUD
2.  Cath Kidston - Little Spot iPhone 5 Case. $49.42AUD
3.  Cath Kidston - Elign Ditsy iPhone 5 Case. $49.42AUD
4.  Cath Kidston - Clifton Rose iPhone 5 Case. $49.42AUD
5.  Pauls Boutique - Lola Gold Lips iPhone 5 Case. $39.51AUD

1.  Cath Kidston Kingswood Rose Wool Shawl. $94.88AUD
2.  Cath Kidson Autumn Bloom Wool Shawl. $94.88AUD
3.  ASOS Mixed Ribbon Knit Scarf. $11.86AUD
4.  Pieces Dango Scarf. $15.81AUD

1.   Zee. Gee. Why Bleached Smock Dress. $98.83AUD
2.   Warehouse Cutabout Floral Swing Dress. $79.06AUD
3.   John Zack Shift Dress In Leopard Print. $55.34AUD

6.   John Zack Shift Dress In Autumn Blossom Print. $55.34AUD
7.   ASOS Curve Exclusive Shift Dress In Graffiti Print. $49.42AUD
8.   River Island Acid Wash Denim Shirt Dress. $88.95AUD
9.   ASOS Skater Dress In Textured Floral Print. $59.30AUD
10. ASOS Skater Dress In Elephant Print. $55.34AUD

1.  Oasis Carmen Quilted Double Compartment Cross Body Bag. $55.34AUD
2.  Wildfox Le Femme Cat-Eye Sunglasses. $247.08AUD
3.  London Rebel Side Buckle Detail Zip Boot. $51.39AUD
4.  Too Faced Melted - Liquid Lipstick. $37.56AUD
5.  ASOS Curve Exclusive Denim Short With Crochet. $59.30AUD
6.  Junarose Jumpsuit. $118.60AUD

3.  Reason Homies T-Shirt. $59.28AUD

I told you I had quite a few things sitting in my "wish list"

I shall keep staring at them in there for a while, but I think the first thing I will order will be a pair of jeans and those cool boots as they're on sale!

Did you find anything in there you fancy? Do you shop a lot on ASOS?

Let me know in that comment section down there!

Little Homewares Haul

Soooo... This happened today.

Got my local newspaper out of my mailbox and there happened to be a Spotlight catalogue inside. I spotted the cool cross design KOO Sheet Sets! 40% off.

Jumped in my car and shot off to the store to grab them.
I thought they were a bargain at $40AUD (Thinking I may go back next week for the grey set)

While I was browsing the store I found the really cute Mixe Floral Soup Mug. Clearly, I couldn't leave it behind, it was only $10AUD and that floral pattern!! It came with a lid so you can store your leftovers inside and heat up in the microwave without it spitting out everywhere and making a mess.

Of course I wanted to use said soup mug ASAP.

So off to the supermarket I went, to grab some bits and pieces to make a pumpkin soup.

My local Woolworths had a new range of bakeware on display. That is where I picked up the little Apple Crumble Pie Dish. It was also a steal at $8AUD. I thought it was really cute that the recipe was printed inside. I also liked the cornflower blue colour around the base.

Maybe a little cooking post soon to test out this recipe!

Does anybody else have a massive love for bedding and homewares?

I hope you enjoyed my little unexpected random haul.

Stay tuned for another review soon!

My Oh My... I Think I've Found A New Love... FRANK!!

Say hello to Frank...

Who's Frank I can hear you all asking.

Well! This Frank is a coffee scrub.

Don't look so disappointed...

I had seen a few blog posts and a kagillion Instagram pics of this brown bag with Frank's name on it. I decided to investigate and see what all the fuss was about.

I got onto the website to check things out and it was all uphill from there! The "Frank" marketing has attitude and I love it.
How could you not like a slogan like "Get naked. Get dirty. Get rough. Get Clean."

I thought I would start out and order the original "flavour"
The 200g bag is full of all natural ingredients. Coffee, sweet almond oil, salt, brown sugar and orange oil.

Frank arrived in the mail and straight away I had to open it to smell. YUM! The coffee hits you straight away, but so does the orange. Almost a jaffa smell.

It took me a couple of days to get a bit of time to use it, but when I did... Oh. Em. Gee.
Where has this been my whole life?! I can't rave enough about this scrub.
Frank is a dry scrub, so I'd recommend getting into the shower and hosing yourself down first. Then grab a handful and go to town! (get your minds out of the gutter)
Make sure you pay some extra attention to any dry areas of skin, cellulite or stretch marks and scrub away.
You then leave it to dry for 5-10 minutes. This gives the caffeine time to work it's magic and help banish those lumps and bumps.

I have to say... Frank is pretty frickin messy. I wouldn't be using this anywhere else besides the shower. The 10 minute wait inside the shower was also a bit boring but I wasn't getting out to spread coffee grounds everywhere.

I have to say though. The wait is TOTALLY worth it! When I turned that water back on and washed that scrub off, I could not believe how soft my skin was.
I can honestly say, NOTHING has ever made my skin feel SO good!
Like seriously amazing...

The oils in the scrub feel non-existant until you rinse off, then once you're all towel dried you don't even have to go near the moisturiser. It does leave a slight coffee smell on your skin but I quite like the smell of coffee so this wasn't a problem.

Bottom line. I LOVE IT. I will definitely keep purchasing it over and over and I think you should all give it a go!

Take a look HERE. Prices range from $14.95 to $17.95

P.S If you're not a big orange fan, Frank also comes in two other varieties. Coconut and Grapeseed and Cacao. #addingtocart #getonit

Let's say goodbye to July with some Favourites.

I just have to ask... WHERE THE HECK DID JULY GO?

It makes me slightly anxious that August is already upon us and the year is already half way done.

But as they say, the show must go on. So today, it's time for the July faves.
Now when people mention things on their "Holy Grail" list... This beauty is definitely on mine. The Glasshouse Tahaa candle. I have gone through 3 of these delicious smelling jars of amazingness so far and will never stop re-purchasing them. If I made a dollar every time someone walked into my house and commented on how nice my room smells, I'd be a rich little lady!

The Tahaa candle is a rich, sweet vanilla caramel scent with fresh coconut and Frankincense. It just doesn't get any better for me. The triple scented candles are handmade in Australia, which makes me feel all that much better about purchasing them. Aussie PJ designer Peter Alexander has been stocking these gorgeous candles for quite a while now in store, but have recently started selling them on their website! #winning $39.95AUD

I've been having some issues with my skin the last couple of months. Dryness and blemishes, so I decided to change up my skincare to try and find something a little less harsh. I bought the Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil along with the Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream

Trilogy pride themselves on producing ethical, sustainable, high performance natural skincare products. And their main ingredient...? Rosehip Oil.
Rosehip oil is used to help a variety of skin conditions including dermatitis, acne and eczema. It also works wonders on mature skin, sun burnt skin, wrinkles and scarring.
The Trilogy rosehip oil contains omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids and antioxidants to restore optimum skin health.

So, I have to say both the oil and night cream are fantastic! Definitely going to continue with both and would love to try more from the Trilogy line.

After cleansing and toning, I drop 3 drops of oil into my palm and pat onto my face and décolletage. It doesn't leave my skin too oily feeling and after I apply the night cream it all sinks in quite nicely.
It definitely leaves my skin feeling a lot more plump and hydrated and the smell of the night cream is dreamy. Like stuffing your face into a big bunch of roses. Mmmm...
$35.95AUD for a 45ml Oil.  $44.95AUD for a 60ml night cream.

To the haircare. This is the Babyliss Pro Argan Oil.
I apply just two drops of this oil to the mid-lengths and ends of my locks after heat styling to get the most shiny, soft, smooth hair known to man (or to me anyways)
It's great for all hair types, but would be most beneficial to those with dry or frizzy hair. $27.96AUD

This stuff is the Bomb.com. The Schwarzkopf Instant Volume Powder. I would say this stuff is instant grip for your hair. You part your hair and sprinkle this magic powder along your roots then massage that baby in and voila! VOLUME!! Having long hair, it gets weighed down and flat on top so this powder is a little god send. A little brush tease with this powder will have your hair reaching amazing heights all night long. $8.99AUD

*Sigh* I can't handle the prettiness of this blush. The Dandelion Blush by Benefit has been the one most reached for this month. A very pretty ballerina pink with a slight shimmer. Looks gorgeous on those paler faces amongst us, not quite sure it would show up on darker skinned ladies. $51.00AUD

Probably my favourite of the faves this month. The L'Oreal Paris Glam Shine Stain Splash Lip Glosses!   (mouthful) I first got one of these glosses in a subscription service box. I put it on my lips and it was so wet and slippery that I was close to putting it in the bin then and there. BUT! It starts to turn thick and glossy on the lips within a few seconds, almost to a lacquer consistency. A little sticky but not put offish. The colour stay is great as it stains while it sits on your kisser. I have 102 Romy. A nice rose pink and 200 Princess. A vibrant orange/coral shade. BeeYouDiFul.

Available at Priceline although I can't find a link for them online. They may be discontinued? Must investigate!

Thanks for reading!

I told you I had quite a few things sitting in my "wish list"

I shall keep staring at them in there for a while, but I think the first thing I will order will be a pair of jeans and those cool boots as they're on sale!
