Product Review. Nutrimetics range.

So if like me, you used to go to those Nutrimetics parties with your mum, you will remember the days when everything used to look the same. It came in the same coloured packaging and just never looked that appealing. (To me anyways)

WELL!  45 years on and times have changed!

I have been to a few Nutrimetics parties in the last few months and have found some really great products that I am loving!

First up we've got the Nutri-Rich Oil. With the oil of more than 100 apricots in every jar to relieve dry skin instantly. It mimics the skins oils and relieves dryness and improves elasticity and moisture retention to reduce fine lines and soothe stressed skin.
But that's not all! This little miracle in a jar is used for a multitude of sins.
Burns, blisters, sunburn, nappy rash, cradle cap, stretch marks, dry heels, dry cuticles, split ends, dry lips, cuts, scratches, cold sores and insect bites. Pretty much everything!

AND! It smells AMAZING! I can't really say it smells like apricots but it's beautiful. (sorry, really awful at describing scents)

It kind of has the consistancy of coconut oil. Solid until in contact with warm skin, then turns into an oil. I've been using this on my cuticles and on my old lady dry elbows.

RRP for this one is $69AUD for a 60 ml tub or $30AUD for a 25ml tub. But I did manage to get the 60ml tub on special. They have a monthly specials catalogue.

Next I will move onto the Ultra Care+ SPF 50+ day lotion. Combining the very latest in anti-aging technology and sun defence, this light weight easily absorbed hydrating lotion provides the highest broad spectrum protection against UVA/UVB rays.

I really enjoy this stuff. Because I work in the mines for a living, I don't wear makeup to work so this is my morning ritual. Cleanse my face then lather this on after. I thought this might leave my skin a little greasy when I read it contained the mango seed butter, but quite the opposite.
It really does soak right into the skin and it's not one of those sunscreen type lotions with a yukky smell and takes a good couple of minutes to rub into the skin. It smells really lovely and is quick to soak in. I raved about it that much my Mum even bought it for my dad to use!

RRP is $49 for a 50ml bottle.

The final two products were purchased in a pack. These are the Ultra Care+ Pore Perfection Kit.
There's the 100ml Daily Complexion Refiner and the 60ml Facial Peel Creme.

The daily refiner is as it says, used daily as a gentle exfoliant for the face and décolletage. The less water you use with this cleanser the more you are going to feel the exfoliation. The added Lotusine is derived from the lotus flower. It aids in brightening and evening out of the skin tone. It also helps to slow down the darkening of skin pigmentation.

The facial peel cream contains glycolic acid. It can be used on most skin types except for sensitive skin. Light tingling may occur when applied but this is just the active ingredients working on the skin. I personally haven't had a problem with this cream burning or anything like that. When I hosted a party, we tested this stuff out on our collarbone, rubbed a bit on and left it for 5 minutes. We then rubbed over the spot on our collarbone and to see the amount of skin roll off was a little bit gross, but hey! you know its working!!
It is used in place of your usual night cream for 4 weeks, then repeated every 3 months.

I have to say in the 3 weeks that I have been using this duo, I have seen a really great change in my skin.
I was breaking out quite badly around my chin and jawline and this has started to clear it up a lot.
RRP for this kit is $69AUD saving you $23AUD when you buy the duo.

As always, if you host a Nutrimetics party you do get yourself a vast range of discounts and freebies, so there is always room to grab yourself a bargain.

Just a little disclaimer at the end. I am not reviewing these items because I work for, or am in any way earning money from Nutrimetics. These are all my honest opinions.

Beauty Review - Fuse Gelnamel Sensationail Starter Kit.

ROUND 2!

A beauty review... Now please go easy on me as I try and find my words again after quite a long time away from a pen and paper (or more likely a computer keyboard)

I have been staring at this cute little number for over a week now, wanting to bust it out of its packaging and see if it lived up to the hype I made up about it in my head.
To be honest I bought this on a whim, I had a Priceline voucher and the Fuse Gelnail Starter Kit was selling at a special introductory price, so of course I jumped at the offer.

After reading a little ol' blog post about the KIT cosmetics LED gel nail light by a rad Aussie blogger by the name of Muskstick Mao... (from muskstickmao.com) I have wanted to give the whole DIY at home gel nails a go ever since.

I held off because of the price. $69.95AUD for the LED gel nails machine, $15.95AUD each for the gel polish and $19.95AUD for the gel remover kit. Once you add all of that together you end up looking at 3 figures.
Which isn't really overly expensive when you have a look at other gel kits out there on the market, but when I managed to pick my Fuse Sensationail starter kit up for $39.99AUD I think I got a complete bargain!
The Fuse Sensationail Starter Kit.

It's a sweet little box of goodness and I was highly impressed with the end result.

The kit comes with the Fuse LED lamp and USB adapter (also a 12 volt adapter for your wall if you don't want to sit in front of your computer desk to do your nails), a Gelnamel gel polish, a pack of 12 wipes to go with the Fuse Cleanser, a manicure stick and a double sided nail buffer.
Contents of the kit.

Application was super easy. The instructions were very clear. Buff, cleanse, polish and Fuse only one nail at a time.

The all-in-one formula means there's no need for a base or top coat, saving loads of time. They also claim it's one coat coverage which I cannot disagree with if you put it on thick enough to start with. The instructions tell you to put only a thin coat on but i found it too thin and could still see my nail underneath the gel.

But not to worry, I just applied a second coat right over the top of the first and baked that baby again! Resulting in a lovely even, streak free finish.

The little LED lamp is fantastic! Simply just plug the USB into your computer (or laptop) as I did while I caught up on the latest episode of Revenge, then put your digit in the little contraption, push the button on top and away it blows. It sets the gel in 30 seconds flat leaving it good to go. I even found it to be better than when I used to get them professionally done. I was always careful not to bump my nails after I'd been to the salon as they always put just a regular top coat on top and me being the born klutz that I am always managed to ruin them on the drive home.

All in all I think this is well worth the money spent. I will definitely be purchasing some more colours.

You can grab the starter kits and the separate gels from PricelineTarget or on the Fuse online store where the starter kits are actually on sale for 50% off which brings them down to $24.99AUD! Separate gels are $14.99AUD each.
So get your hands on one before stocks run out and get yourself a massive bargain, you will not be disappointed!

Until next time, thanks for reading!

A SPECIAL WELCOME TO MY BLOG WITH A BEAUTY HAUL!

Ok, so here it goes!

My first blog post... So I thought I would celebrate with a beauty haul!
These bits and pieces have been sitting in their Priceline bag for a bit over a week now and I am DYING to use them but I didn't want to messy them up before I took some pictures of them. (Listen to me sounding all blog writer like already)

ANYWHO! Lets get down to the fun bit! THE REVEAL!
My fun little spending spree!

From top then left to right and then to the bottom!

First up we have the Essence Waterproof eyeliner pen in black.
I am somewhat a newbie to the liquid eyeliner and really just eyeliner in general.
I have what I like to call "heavy lids" so when I try to line my eyes with a kohl pencil I get some transfer above my eyeshadow. So I am hoping this waterproof version is going to solve that problem! I shall keep you updated!

Next is the Maybelline FitMe! shine-free fond de teint in the colour 220 Natural Beige. I love me a new foundation! Especially one that claims to be shine free as I do get a pretty oily T-zone. As I said earlier, I haven't had a chance to try any of these goodies yet but I will try and get a review up ASAP!

Swatches of the 3 lip products. 1st
is the NYX butter gloss then NYX
cream lipstick and last is Revlon
matte balm.

Number 3 is the NYX Creamy Round Lipstick in Louisiana. She is a gorgeous hot pink colour and I cannot wait to slap that baby on my lips! I am also pretty new to the BAM! bright coloured lips thing, but I am loving the experimentation.

I also grabbed the NYX Butter Gloss in the Colour Apple Strudel. A beautiful coraly nude. It's lovely and glossy, not sticky at all and leaves the lips nice and hydrated. Also an added bonus of smelling really good! It's too hard to explain so you're going to have to go smell this one for yourself.

Now for the two Essence eyeshadows! One metal glam shadow in the colour "coffee to glow" a gorgeous fawny brown with silver glitter throughout and the 3D Duo shadow in the colour "irresistible fox-trott" a lovely metallic copper-bronze with a shimmery peach. I haven't used these brands of shadow before, but the swatches seemed to go on pretty nicely.
More swatches! The waterproof
liner, the metal glam shadow
and the 3D shadow. Bad lighting
Not super pigmented but buildable.

On the home stretch now peeps! Second last is the Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara, in Ultra Black. (A buy after a very convincing sales pitch from the lovely Hayley from muskstickmao.com) I like a good mascara. It is the one beauty product I do use on a regular basis. I think even without any other makeup, a lick of mascara can make a face pop and look nice and fresh.

The last product is the new Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the colour 210 "unapologetic"
Oh. Em. Gee. I now see what all the hype is about! Soft, creamy, highly pigmented colour with a yummy minty scent! I don't find it drying at all and find it has pretty good staying power.

Well, That is it folks!
The first little insight into my shopping addiction.
I hope you enjoyed the first addition to my page and come back for some more light reading!

Next up will be some proper reviews of these products and a pretty cool little gadget I couldn't leave behind from Priceline. So be sure to keep an eye out for that!

Lots of love! Xx
